This is going to be music to the ears of many American Democrats as President Donald Trump could be charged for war crimes.

The regime in Tehran said it wants to take President Trump to the Hague to charge him with war crimes in the death of Gen Qassem Soleimani.

“We intend to file lawsuits in the Islamic Republic, Iraq and the Hague Court [the International Court of Justice],” Iranian judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili said.

And they were backed by the United Nations when its investigator Agnes Callamard said the Soleimani killing “most likely violates international law.”

“The targeted killings of Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis most likely violate international law [including] human rights law,” Callamard said.

“Lawful justifications for such killings are very narrowly defined and it is hard to imagine how any of these can apply to these killings.,” she said.

This is the same United Nations that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders said he wants to help to rebuild and support in Tuesday’s Democrat Presidential Debate.

The Hague sided with Iran before in ordering sanctions against the regime not affect humanitarian aid to the Islamic republic, but the United States does not recognize the ICJ’s jurisdiction.

In response to the killing of the general, the regime shot a Ukrainian passenger jet out of the sky, killing 167 people on board.

For days it pretended that the plane had mechanical issues and crashed on its own, but finally took responsibility for it.

Iran’s foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif placed the blame on the United States for the shooting of the jetliner.

“We lost the lives of [176] people because of tensions created by the United States,” Zarif said.

“In the last few nights, we’ve had people in the streets of Tehran demonstrating against the fact that they were lied to for a couple of days,” he said of the student protests.

But that is a lie. The students have been protesting against the regime and not against the United States.

Video showed that the crowds outside Iran’s Beheshti University refused to walk on the American and Israeli flags that were painted on the ground.

And in that, and other protests, students chanted that their enemy was not the United States but the regime in Tehran.

“They are lying that our enemy is America, our enemy is right here,” they said as they chanted “death to the dictator.”

“To the leaders of Iran – DO NOT KILL YOUR PROTESTERS. Thousands have already been killed or imprisoned by you, and the World is watching,” President Trump tweeted. “More importantly, the USA is watching. Turn your internet back on and let reporters roam free! Stop the killing of your great Iranian people!”

Sadly the Democrat party has continued to parrot the Iranian regime’s talking points, which is why they would likely stand in line to testify against him at the Hague.
